How We Help
Social Check-ins
Sometimes a simple check-in is all that’s needed to make sure everything’s going well. We can sit and chat about how things are going and how our members are feeling.
Light Errands
Running errands can be challenging for some. That’s why we’re happy to pick up things like prescriptions and packages. We can also drop things off like donations to Goodwill.
Household Tasks
While at the home, we’re happy to do things like grab the mail, take the garbage out, and clean a few dishes. While we’re not cleaners, we like to help where we can.
Specific Requested Activities
Members or family can request specific activities to be done for each visit. It could be taking a member on a walk around the block, helping them with their newest puzzle, or finding the TV remote that has been missing. Every visit includes checking if there are requested activities and completing them before leaving.
Reporting
If requested, every visit can include an update for loved ones.
We’ll share what happened during the visit, how the person was doing, and if we’ve noticed any changes in feelings or behavior.
We’re your eyes in the house to help keep your mind at ease.
How It Works
The first step is to contact us to see if we can visit your area. Next, we’ll send a companion to your requested location for a meet and greet with all involved parties. From there, we’ll make a visit schedule that meets your needs. Whether it’s once, twice, three times a week or more, we’ll be there for you.
Our Story
Stephanie, Co-owner
We’re a family-owned business and have lived in Portland for 25+ years. After spending a lot of time and money navigating the challenges of our own personal loved ones, we knew there needed to be a better way.
Gramps was doing well until he had a fall. After that event, it was a little harder for him to remember to do things like clean out the fridge, shut his patio doors, or take his medicine. He lived 2 hours away and it was impossible to keep an eye on him as we grew our own family.
We researched companies to have someone check in on him several times a week, but their four-hour minimums were cost prohibitive. And we weren’t looking for someone for that much time. We just needed simple check-ins.
Now, after moving him through several chapters of life, and helping others do the same, we want to extend assistance to others who have experienced similar circumstances.
